Tsim Sha Tsui

Located in the south of the Kowloon peninsula, Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the most popular and prosperous areas of the city and the place from which to get the best views of Hong Kong Bay.

In Tsim Sha Tsui you will find numerous points of interest:

  • Avenue of Stars: A copy of Avenue of Stars of Los Angeles but with the names of the stars of Chinese actors. The stars that most photos receive are Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee. It is the best place to see the show Symphony of Lights
  • Star Ferry Pier: The Star Ferry is the boat that crosses from Kowloon to the island of Hong Kong.
  • Clock Tower: The clock tower is the only part of the Kowloon train station that still survives. Its construction finished in 1915 and is 44 meters high.
  • Kowloon Park: Extensive green area that makes up a haven of peace in the middle of the bustling city.
  • Hong Kong Art Museum: Gather more than 15,000 works of art with a surprising themed variety. Open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Hong Kong Space Museum: This museum of astronomy and space science has a planetarium with a peculiar round shape on the outside. Open from 13:00 to 21:00 hours (weekends and public holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.). Closed on Tuesdays.

As a curiosity, as the night progresses the Avenue of Stars is clearing artists and photographers to give way to the fishermen. These fishermen fish without any kind of reed, only with a thread of line. It is surprising how many fish they catch in a short space of time.
