Wong Tai Sin Temple

Wong Tai Sin Temple

With the eye-catching emblem "granting all the wishes that are asked for", the Wong Tai Sin Temple, also known as Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin, is one of Hong Kong's most well-known and popular temples.

The temple, home to Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism, pays homage to the legendary monk Wong Tai Sin, whom the worshipers honor by offering and pray for fortune through the divinatory arts.

Built in a colorful traditional style, the temple has an area of 18,000 square meters along which are spaces such as the Bronze Pavilion, Archives Hall, Yuk Yik Fountain, Yue Heung Shrine, Wall Of Earth or the Garden of Good Wish.

The Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple is one of the most important in Hong Kong and is a very pleasant visit thanks to its attractive natural surroundings and beautifully decorated buildings.

During the first half of January and the celebration of the Chinese New Year, the temple is filled with worshipers and becomes a true spectacle of offerings and divinations.
