Hong Kong Park

Hong Kong Park is an area of ​​peace and tranquility located amidst the sparkling skyscrapers of Hong Kong Island. It is located in Central, the financial area of ​​the city, so it offers a peculiar and attractive contrast between vegetation and buildings.

Along the 8 hectares of Hong Kong Park there are numerous points of interest:

• Aviary. Opened in 1992, one year after the park's inauguration, it has 80 species of birds that are hidden in a peculiar "tropical rainforest".
• Botanical Garden: One of the largest in Southeast Asia, it comprises all kinds of plants.
• Artificial lake: The central lake is a natural habitat for various types of fish and insects. In Hong Kong there are more than 100 types of dragonflies and the vast majority are represented in this park.
• Teahouse Museum: This small museum is part of the Hong Kong Museum of Art. It is free and opens every day except for Tuesdays.

In addition to the tourist attractions, the park also has squash courts, a sports center, a garden to practice Tai Chi or a play area for children.

Nice though with lots of stairs

Hong Kong Park is very nice, but it is rather tiring to go through because of the large number of slopes and stairs that make up the terrain.

The best time to visit the park is early in the morning.
